My Visit to Sweet Clover and the Hometalk Halloween Hunt

I am a mothers to boys.
So, that means that almost everything I do is boy related. Which means that most everything I do revolves around sports (and cleaning).
Football games,
Lacrosse games,
Basketball games,
every...single....weekend.
And, while I really do love watching my boys play sports, once in a while,
I really need some girl time.
So this Saturday, one of my sweet friends Charlene, mother of just boys too,
joined me on a rare shopping outing, on a rare day without sports.
We headed out to visit Sweet Clover
(A beautiful shop run by a sweet blogger named Cassie at www.primitiveandproper.blogspot.com)
 for the Hometalk Halloween Hunt.
(click Hometalk to visit this amazing home and DIY site and click below to read my post for

What an amazing event they put on.
The store was GORGEOUS.
Filled to the rafters with unique and beautiful vintage goods.
There were goodies for visitors and smiles from the entire staff.
And, I had a former career at Nordstrom, so great service means a lot to me.
For this event, starting at Sweet Clover, you were given a bag and some gifts and you then headed out to other amazing stores.

Although we didnt have enough time to visit every store,
because our husbands and sons cannot be left alone that long,
we are definitely going back to each of them.
At Sweet Clover and Chartreuse, I found so many wonderful goods I wanted to purchase.
I only left Sweet Clover with a couple smaller items while I ponder what I want to go back and purchase...I get very indecisive.
Here are the little treasures I brought back home.
A vintage scale,
some wooden spools,
and
a tub of Miss Mustard Seeds white wax
for a dresser I am working on.
And the most exciting thing for me...
I got to meet Karen the Graphics fairy  www.thegraphicsfairy.com
and
Miriam from Hometalk.
And, they were both so friendly and sweet.
Sorta looks odd the way Im holding that scale...I dont think it is weighing much, haha!
Have a beautiful day!
Debbie
